Driver-Reviver

In many states there is a thing called the ‘Driver-Reviver’ but the Northern Territories do it best. At Roadhouses and rest-areas along the road about every 60km – 80km there are free beverages for the driver to combat fatigue. A free beverage means tea or coffee, in some places it even means hot chocolate – fancy! A cyclist is a driver too so I make full use of the facility :)

I got a list of all the places where the driver-reviver is given in N.T. and it just so happens that they are almost always at planned stopping points. I arrived at one place, took a campsite and treated myself to a tea at around 4:30. The guy working there said I deserved as many as I liked and I took him at his word. I went through an entire two litre bottle of milk myself just putting a splash into every cup of tea. It was Dilmah finest quality Ceylon tea which is very good. There was a TV and air-conditioning for me too.
