Valiant Regal

Sunday morning in Brisbane I went with Ben – my host and some of his friends to a MOPAR car show and drag racing at Willowbank west of Brisbane. Some of the cars like the Chargers and Regals are beautiful. These cars are pretty cheap too. You could get your hands on a stunning classic in excellent condition for less than $8,000. I’ll admit I was sorely tempted to get one and drive the rest of the way around

The drag racing on show was more for fun than serious, most of the cars are just normal cars that some people have worked on a little – no funny cars with 500km/h top speeds. There were a few serious beasts on show though and when one was doing a demonstration run it hit a little fluid on the track and had a spin. The car only rubbed the walls though and wasn’t too badly damaged. It was a good day out.
