Perth
The next day brought me to Perth, the first big town I’ve really been to since Brisbane. I’ve been looking forward to this for a while, a few well earned days off the bike. I need a decent bike store too to give my bike a much needed service. It’s been a long hard slog getting down here and I was glad to finally make it to civilisation again.
I checked into a backpacker hostel on the edge of the CBD and went straight to sleep. next morning I was heading out to do some sightseeing and walked right into Joanne, a girls I was working with in Darwin. Pretty much every day I’m bumping into people I’ve met or worked with before. It’s been nearly 2 months and 5,000km since I left Humpty Doo, this country is huge but sometimes feels tiny too. It’s not like I went to one of the bigger backpackers either, I went to a small one away from the centre. Even back home I don’t bump into people I know as regularly.
Will update more about Perth soon.

Hey Ross,
Great to see you still in one piece and have got so far. By our rough calculation you have done the Tour de France at least three times now! Keep applying that sun-block

Three times the Tour de France you reckon! Thats a long way alright.
The sunblock is being applied now with almost ridiculous regularity. My tan is even beginning to fade!!!!
