Kakadu National Park

I spent 4 days going around Kakadu National Park. It is an amazing place and someplace I want to go back to. 4 days was good, there were lots of places I simply couldn’t go to and I’d like to see them at some point in the future.

I went along the south road into the park from Pine Creek. After entering the park the first place to see is Gunlom falls. Part of the road had been graded recently so it was in good repair but the last 10km wasn’t rideable so that was a no go. I kept going, did a few bush walks and stopped at the campsite at Mardugal near Cooinda. I set up my tent, and went to Cooinda to book a dawn cruise at Yellow Water.

On the cruise we saw lots of crocodiles and all sorts of birds. I highly recommend it. After the cruise along south alligator river I wandered along the bush trails at Yellow Water.

At Cooinda there was also an aboriginal cultural center. It
